Remember Holly Keeney? Get caught up.
She’s the woman Montgomery County Schools superintendent Joshua Powell illegally promoted while working in Union County. They both got huge slaps on the wrist from the Education Professional Standards Board.
But guess what!
Powell brought Keeney to Montgomery County not long ago for a closing day breakfast with faculty and made it a point to introduce her to site-based decision making personnel from around the district.
Several SBDM teachers we’ve spoken with from Montgomery County tell us Powell pushed Keeney on them so hard that they felt intimidated. Finally, at least one council banded together to tell Powell that they weren’t interested in bringing in another employee from Union County.
Then that SBDM council hired Jim Dusso.
We all know how that played out with Powell.
